Prawn (and Jade) asked me to blog. I don't know why. He's probably excited to see what I have to say about his er, birthday celebration.
Anyway, even though I've already put it in my PM, I think I'll just say it again.
Happy 13th Birthday, Prawn!I'm damn tired now, but I don't know why. See lar Prawn, ask me wake up so early just to be on time. I probably could've slept for another 1/2 hr leh. Aight.
Anyway, HG, Yixi, Lydia, Liboon were at Macs when Jade and I arrived. We waited for Janson and for Liboon to finish her food, then we went to check out the bowling alley, but it wasn't open. At least, not yet. So we went to the beach for that half an hour before Marine Bowl opened.
Liboon said I was fa dai-ing. I guess so. That's probably why I didn't even know the rest were burying Liboon's slipper. Well, when we were just about to go off to bowl and stuff, we realised that Liboon couldn't find her slipper. Yes, because they buried it, of course. Liboon couldn't find her first slipper, but after hints and mocking from HG she saw the strap and found her
right slipper, I think. And the left one was missing. Not even the people who buried it knew where it was. So well, we were searching and searching for about 15 minutes. And we still couldn't find it. Then Lydia found this er, seemingly dried up and leafless "Christmas Tree". It did have the shape of one, but er.. not only was it missing leaves. Since there were no leaves, there was no decorations on it either. So
clever Lydia and company went to "decorate" the tree. In the end, I guess it didn't make that big a difference. After all, what kind of decorations would you expect to find on a beach like East Coast? Er yeah, let's see. Sand and er, McDonalds cups, probably. Oh, with some cigarette butts or sticks.
I don't know what they used anyway, but meanwhile, as they were "decorating" the "tree", Liboon and I continued to search for her lost slipper. I think it was Lydia who joined in later on too. Then the rest, who probably couldn't stand the heat or something, went up and rested first. We were searching on the right side of the area (if you face the sea), because Janson said it was most probably on that side. I don't know how he actually gauged it, because it turned out to be on the other side. Anyway, just before Liboon found it, I was asking her if she wanted to quit finding the slipper and perhaps try later after bowling or something. And she found it. Well, glad she said to continue for another 5 minutes or so. If not, it would be damn wasted and sad.
We proceeded on to bowl. First few games were suck so I don't bother to remember stupid scores like that. The rest said I was being emo. Whatever lar. Maybe, but I think it was partly due to the fact that I was still tired. I know I was still yawning. Yah lar, I'm a pig.
We played about 4 games in total Yixi didn't want to play her last, so I played as M Clone, plus my own, M. In the end, my clone won me. Why do clones always win the actual one? Damn, probably acquired too much intelligence and so I become lousier and stupider than my own clone. Gahh.
Okay, that was just a
shitload bit of lame-ness.
Um, I got 124 as the clone and (according to Janson and HG) 99 for my own, M.
After bowling, we went up to the arcade to play some games, then went on to the beach to hang around and stuff. Most of us took off our shoes and socks. People like Liboon and Yixi
who had common sense had slippers, so well, good for them. Because I had trouble wearing sandy shoes later on.
We went up on Pier 4 or whatever. Watching the waves crash onto the rocks and well, the shore, is nice. I mean, I don't know. I can just stare at it for some time and fa dai. And I probably won't feel as bored either.
Then Janson,
being the crazy guy that he is, decided to catch stuff using a cup. I think he used some Big Gulp cup. Yes it's big, so well, he caught stuff ranging from prawns to fishes. Some of the stuff he caught were crabs, like tiny hermit crabs, catfish, and other tiny fish. I'm not sure if there were shrimps or whatever too. Liboon was kinda against it, because she loves animals so much, I guess. Even when Janson (I think) wanted to throw some plastic cup or whatever thing down when we were on the pier, Liboon told him not to throw and exclaimed, "The marine animals will choke!"
She also went all the way down to pick up the plastic cup down there.
Ah, such deep passion and love for the fascinating inhabitants of the waters. Liboon, you should aspire to become an environmentalist or something.
Eh, whatever.
After that, we cleared up and stuff, then decided to go to Parkway. (I don't know why.)
As we were walking, I think Yixi said, "请用标准华语。”
I don't know what they were talking about. Then Liboon said, “我觉得... 冰淇淋... ... 很冷。”

废话!But we had a good laugh all the same.
Jade went home, then the rest of us went to Popular to look around. There was this cute Pooh (and friends) thing. They seemed much like any other ordinary stuff toy, but
NOOOOOO! Guess what! They're
SPEAKERS. Eh, that was damn cool. But HG and Lydia and YX tested it out with YX's iPod Nano (Eh, there was one with wires hanging already.) and realised that it was kinda soft, despite the volume of her player being set at the maximum. Oh, it's $12.90, by the way.
Liboon was busy taking pictures of some keychain things.
We left Popular and sat down at the mini playground beside McDonalds. We talked and talked and talked about lots of stuff. And er, as usual, laughed a lot. Liboon was always saying things like, "AHEM." or "PUI!" or something along the lines of, "Smokers will die, and die and die and die!" and even stuff about getting lung cancer and dying. Well, we were lucky because there were no ultimate gangsters or whatever around. I think if there were, even Liboon won't be able to fend them off. Yang Seh wasn't there lar, so cannot use the skills as described in the Yang manual. But anyway, there were none, and thank goodness.
Then there was this uber cute dog that even had
shoes on! And then, like the kaypoh ah pek who stared so obviously up at the tree when Cpl Yujia and Cpl Hongsheng's slippers got stuck up the tree (and they were trying desperately to get them down), there was this woman who was walking past and then she stared at the dog like what lar. Even when she already walked past it, her head was still tilted so much at some angle just to see the dog.
Never see dog with shoes before arh?
(Okay lar, maybe never. But still, don't need to stare until like that what.)
Both Lydia and I saw the woman, and as usual, burst out laughing, although in the end we found it wasn't actually that funny after all, only that it seemed funny at that particular moment.
We bought waffles and Liboon bought some floss bun thing. And we saw Mr Pang! LOL. I was just looking at the waffle thingy and then I suddenly looked in the direction of the queue, and I saw Mr Pang. I got a shock because I didn't expect to see him at all. I mean, yeah, seeing friends would be quite different, not as startling, I guess. So I turned. (I don't know why lar. Natural reaction.) Then I said to Lydia, something like, "Eh, got see?"
Anyway, we both saw and ran away. Don't know why lar. In the end Liboon said Hi to Mr Pang and yar, nothing much.
Ate the waffles, talked for a bit more, then we went home. Damn lar, 196 always takes so long to come please. I'm such an impatient idiot. Hooray.
As I was walking home from the bus stop, I walked past Learning Vision and saw vaguely, in the distance, a woman and two children sitting on the ground (on the path). I was approaching them and saw a car pulling up nearby, then a man walking out. As I began to pass them, I saw the boys get up and one of them shouting something like, "Why always take so long one! Until we need to sit on the ground!"
I think I heard his dad apologising. I started to despise that boy. He didn't realise how lucky he was to already have his father taking time off to provide him transport. Until I began to think, was that just what I do sometimes? Maybe exactly the same, or maybe not. I'm quite sure I'm still ungrateful most of the time. The point on transport has become quite clear to me, because now that my parents are overseas, I have to find my own way around places, using the public transport. Before Primary 5 or 6, I always relied on my mom's car, and nothing else.
And all of a sudden, that boy somehow made me feel like I was looking into a mirror.
